2022 Mother’s Day – Rally Car Shakedown

My parents came over today for an early Mother’s day lunch, and my Mom kept saying how worried she was about the upcoming Rally. I offered to take her for a ride through my front yard, to show her how well I can handle the vehicle, and hopefully give her some confidence in my vehicle control. Instead, I tore up my yard, broke a paving stone, and now she thinks i’m totally crazy, hahaha.

The LS based small-block engine is the primary V-8 used in General Motors’ line of rear-wheel-drive cars and trucks. Introduced in January 1995, it is a “clean sheet” design with only rod bearings, lifters, and bore spacing in common with the longstanding Chevrolet small block V8 that preceded it as the basis for GM small-block V8s. The basic LS variations use cast iron blocks, while performance editions are all aluminum with cast iron cylinder liners. The LS small-block has been manufactured in three Generations – III, IV, and V – with preceding Generations I and II of modular GM small-block engines having been based on the Chevrolet small-block V8 originally designed in 1955. GM recycled the “LT” designation beginning with the LS Generation V “LT1” in 2014.

E36 Mafia: You Wreck It, We’ll Buy It

Join the E36 Mafia Drift Team as we teardown a wrecked BMW E36 for spare parts. Pulling the engine, dropping the front and rear subframes, removing the interior and dashboard, and salvaging the wiring harness. These spare parts will live on to service our E36 Drift cars far into the future.

The BMW E36 is the third generation of the BMW 3 Series range of compact executive cars, and was produced from 1990 to 2000. The initial models were of the four-door sedan body style, followed by the coupe, convertible, wagon and hatchback. The E36 was the first 3-Series to be offered in a hatchback bodystyle. It was also the first 3-Series to be available with a six-speed manual transmission, a five-speed automatic transmission and a four-cylinder diesel engine. The multi-link rear suspension was also a significant upgrade, as compared to the previous generations of the 3-Series. The high performance E36 M3 is powered by the BMW S50 or BMW S52 straight-six engine.
