Chevy Colorado ZR2: Portable Fog Machine For Your Car

I spent a good half-hour searching for an affordable battery-powered fog machine. No luck. So I went to Walmart, bought a cheap inverter and fog machine, and made my own! We will be using our custom portable fog machine for a Halloween Trunk-or-Treat event next weekend!

A fog machine, fog generator, or smoke machine is a device that emits a dense vapor that appears similar to fog or smoke. This artificial fog is most commonly used in professional entertainment applications, but smaller, more affordable fog machines are becoming common for personal use. Fog machines can also be found in use in a variety of industrial, training, and some military applications. Typically, fog is created by vaporizing proprietary water and glycol-based or glycerin-based fluids or through the atomization of mineral oil. This fluid (often referred to colloquially as fog juice) vaporizes or atomizes inside the fog machine. Upon exiting the fog machine and mixing with cooler outside air the vapor condenses, resulting in a thick visible fog.

How To LS Swap A Porsche 944 – Part 74

Unedited and uncut, start to finish video, on how to LS swap a Porsche 944.

The Porsche 944 is a sports car manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Porsche from 1982 to 1991. A front-engine, rear-wheel drive mid-level model based on the 924 platform, the 944 was available in coupé or cabriolet body styles, with either naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines.
(Description courtesy of Wikipedia)

The LS based small-block engine is the primary V-8 used in General Motors’ line of rear-wheel-drive cars and trucks. Introduced in January 1995, it is a “clean sheet” design with only rod bearings, lifters, and bore spacing in common with the longstanding Chevrolet small block V8 that preceded it as the basis for GM small-block V8s. The basic LS variations use cast iron blocks, while performance editions are all aluminium with cast iron cylinder liners. The LS small-block has been manufactured in three Generations – III, IV, and V – with preceding Generations I and II of modular GM small-block engines having been based on the Chevrolet small-block V8 originally designed in 1955. GM recycled the “LT” designation beginning with the LS Generation V “LT1” in 2014.

100 Acre Wood Rally: #212, Ecker-Hardin (Show-Me Rally)

#212, Ecker-Hardin, Rally Racing Team

Sanctioned by the ARA, the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, with its record 80 entries, will cover almost 125 racing miles that will test rally teams from all across the country (and several foreign countries) on a variety of gravel road surfaces. Set in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains, this rally contains some of the most scenic and technical rally roads on the ARA calendar. Each day will begin with a rally car show and opening ceremony. The public is invited to join in on the festivities, see the cars up close, pose for photos, get autographs, and meet the teams at the start of each day, beginning in Potosi on Friday at Lion’s Club Park, continuing at the service area at Huzzah Valley Resort that afternoon, Downtown Salem on Saturday morning, and Saturday night at the Dent County Commons for the ceremonial finish celebration. Teams will compete throughout each day, passing multiple spectator points along the way.
(Description courtesy of https://www.100aw.org/)

The Show-Me Rally will consist of multiple stages, run over gravel roads through wonderful Washington County Missouri. Located in Eastern Missouri in the great Mark Twain forest, you will enjoy rolling country side views, and great roads through the forests. The City of Potosi welcomes all competitors and volunteers to the area and hope you enjoy your stay while you are here for the rally. Show-Me Rally is a performance rally car race, using street legal vehicles, which have additional safety gear and full roll cages. For any newcomers to rallying, a rally consists of “transit zones” and “special stages”. A transit has the rally teams on the roads with the general public following all traffic rules and merely gets the competitors from one special stage to the next. A special stage is a closed to-the-public section of road(s) where teams are allowed to travel from the start to the finish as fast as they can. Teams are started one minute apart, so there is no wheel-to-wheel racing. The total elapsed times for each team over all of the special stages will determine both individual class and overall victories of the event. In addition, Show-Me Rally is run “blind”, where the teams have not seen the roads ahead of time. For the past few months, the Show-Me Rally Committee has again been working with the local government officials economic partners, to ensure a well organized and safe event. Show-Me Rally aims to help give the area an economic boost by bringing in multiple teams, their service crews, officials, and hundreds of volunteers from outside the area. The Washington County road commissioners have given the organizers of Show-Me Rally permission to temporarily close a few county roads for short periods of time on Saturday. Saturday will begin with a rally car show (Expose) and opening ceremony. Teams will compete throughout the afternoon.

Chevy Colorado ZR2: How NOT To Wash The Engine Bay

Obviously, this is NOT the correct way to wash and detail your engine bay. This is the extremely lazy American way. Deal with it. (⌐■_■)

The ZR2 concept was shown at the 2014 LA Auto Show, and due to positive feedback, a production-ready version was announced two years later at the 2016 LA Auto Show, and released for the 2017 lineup. The Colorado ZR2 offers the same amenities as its brother the Z71, but is heavily tailored towards off-road performance. The ZR2 model is available in two body configurations; crew cab with 5ft bed, and an extended cab with 6ft bed. Engine options are the 3.6L LGZ V6 gas engine, and the 2.8L Duramax LWN turbo-diesel engine. Chevrolet designed many new parts specifically for the ZR2 to improve off-road performance, including Multimatic DSSA shocks.
