Several of the Storm Race competitors left early on Sunday, leaving the rest of us with a wide-open racetrack to play with. Unfortunately, I got greedy and overheated my tires, so ended-up getting worse lap times than Race 3. 😓 Being our first time with NASA and at OIR, we went through a 3-day comprehensive Competition School and got our racing license. 🥳 Many more videos coming soon!
The longest race of the whole weekend, my arms and legs were screaming for mercy as we thundered around the racetrack with manual brakes and manual steering for over 30 minutes. 😱 Being our first time with NASA and at OIR, we went through a 3-day comprehensive Competition School and got our racing license. 🥳 Many more videos coming soon!
By far my favorite race of the entire weekend, I got to follow a very talented Porsche 944 driver around the track. Thanks to his experienced driving, I learned some of the best racing lines for a 944, and was able to substantially improve my lap times. 🙏 Being our first time with NASA and at OIR, we went through a 3-day comprehensive Competition School and got our racing license. 🥳 Many more videos coming soon!
The first race of the weekend was a mess. The digital flag system had multiple glitches that exacerbated several incidents that resulted in half the race being under full-course caution. 🙃 Being our first time with NASA and at OIR, we went through a 3-day comprehensive Competition School and got our racing license. 🥳 Many more videos coming soon!
Video from the NASA Competition School mock race held at sunset at Ozarks International Raceway. 🔥 Being our first time with NASA and at OIR, we went through a 3-day comprehensive Competition School and got our racing license. 🥳 Many more videos coming soon!
Check out this awesome video we got during our first Road Race with NASA at Ozarks International Raceway. We didn’t just “Ride The Roller Coaster”, we JUMPED it at over 140 mph !!! 🔥 Being our first time with NASA and at OIR, we went through a 3-day comprehensive Competition School and got our racing license. 🥳 Many more videos coming soon!
Follow along as we take a very gentle drive across town to break-in our freshly-swapped AOR transaxle and test out a new camera angle. Stay tuned for more videos coming soon!
The Porsche 944 is a sports car manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Porsche from 1982 to 1991. A front-engine, rear-wheel drive mid-level model based on the 924 platform, the 944 was available in coupé or cabriolet body styles, with either naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines. The LS based small-block engine is the primary V-8 used in General Motors’ line of rear-wheel-drive cars and trucks. Introduced in January 1995, it is a “clean sheet” design with only rod bearings, lifters, and bore spacing in common with the longstanding Chevrolet small block V8 that preceded it as the basis for GM small-block V8s. The basic LS variations use cast iron blocks, while performance editions are all aluminum with cast iron cylinder liners. The LS small-block has been manufactured in three Generations – III, IV, and V – with preceding Generations I and II of modular GM small-block engines having been based on the Chevrolet small-block V8 originally designed in 1955. GM recycled the “LT” designation beginning with the LS Generation V “LT1” in 2014. (Description courtesy of Wikipedia)

For the final event of the year, we were lucky enough to race with several experienced Corvette drivers, who challenged our Porsche’s limits as we put down some hot laps. Running on PE-71RS tires, racing brake pads, M030 sway bars, Racers Edge solid-spherical suspension bushings, Boost Brothers control arms, and Lindsey Racing Intrax road racing coilovers; we rushed Gateway Motorsports Park for the STL SCCA PDE #7 event. The STL PDE crew were extremely helpful and organized. Ride along as we thunder down the main straight and slide around the corners!
