Custom Porsche 944 Dual Master Kit (CAD Rendering)

While working on our 944 Rally project, we decided a 35-year-old brake booster and master cylinder were too dangerous to run down gravel roads at breakneck speeds. So, we attempted to find a “kit” that could be purchased and used to run dual master cylinders. Sadly, there was nothing available. After searching around a bit more, we found that their used to be a company called “Kokeln Racing Products” that sold a Porsche 944 Dual Master Kit. Unfortunately, Kokeln has long been out of business, taking the dual master kit with them into obscurity. We purchased a used kit from a fellow 944 racer, and decided to reverse-engineer the kit and share it with the community. Under normal circumstances, reverse-engineering an identical copy of another company’s product would be highly unethical. However, because Kokeln no longer exists, we believe that as long as the CAD files are used in a non-commercial manner, we are well within our rights to reverse-engineer this design.

P-000002 Scion FR-S Precision Clutch Disk Alignment Tool

While installing the clutch disk into my Scion FR-S (Subaru BRZ) (Toyota 86), i spent almost two hours struggling with getting my transmission to mate to the engine block.  Eventually, i took the transmission back down, and noticed that the clutch was mis-aligned.  I came to find that the alignment tool had deformed from the weight of the clutch disk, and without noticing, i had mis-aligned the clutch disk during the installation of the pressure plate.  I was outraged!  I had to remove the alignment tool, examine it, then replace it and manually align the clutch disk to make up for the low-quality tool. One of our racing partners, @toplessracing, came to me with a problem; he snapped his custom torsion bar mounting bracket while driving home from work.  Without even so much as one race on the bracket, it had completely failed.  I told him, “Sure thing!  We can design a stronger and more functional part.”
