How NOT To Test For Boost Leak

I finally fixed the vacuum leak, but I still have some serious boost lag. Chances are, there is a leak somewhere in my intake. So, I need to pressure-test it for leaks. During the testing, I could hear a “bubbling” noise, so I think my oil seal may be leaking pressurized air into the oil return line. I’m not sure. Give it a listen and tell me what you think.

Dyno Run: Stage 2 Turbocharged Scion FR-S – Too Rich

I have observed for the last few weeks that Koneko has been running very rich. Spewing black exhaust and soot out of the tailpipe is the primary sign of an overly rich AFR. However, I just couldn’t get good tuning data by driving on the street, and I still didn’t have any idea as to how much power she was making. So, I put her on the dyno, did some 5th-gear pulls, and got an absolutely terrible result. I am going to have to fully inspect every inch of Koneko’s drivetrain, look over the tuning files, and start working on a solution to this problem. A 10psi turbo kit should be making close to 300whp, not a measly 233whp. The results disgust me, and I refuse to leave my girl in this condition. She will come back stronger than ever.
