Enhanced with the latest technical innovations and producing more power than the previous generation, the FE 501s continues to be the most powerful machine in Husqvarna Motorcycles’ dual-sport line-up. A new engine for 2024 produces a broader spread of controllable power and by positioning the engine shaft arrangements at the ideal center of gravity, maneuverability is vastly improved. Aiding this agile feel is the new chassis, which has been developed and manufactured using advanced engineering techniques. Together with new WP Suspension, enhanced comfort is assured. Expertly assembled with high-quality components throughout, the FE 501s is finished with new functional bodywork adorned with white, yellow, and blue graphics inspired by the Swedish heritage of the brand.

Porsche 944 LS Swap: 2023 STL SCCA PDE #7

For the final event of the year, we were lucky enough to race with several experienced Corvette drivers, who challenged our Porsche’s limits as we put down some hot laps. Running on PE-71RS tires, racing brake pads, M030 sway bars, Racers Edge solid-spherical suspension bushings, Boost Brothers control arms, and Lindsey Racing Intrax road racing coilovers; we rushed Gateway Motorsports Park for the STL SCCA PDE #7 event. The STL PDE crew were extremely helpful and organized. Ride along as we thunder down the main straight and slide around the corners!

PDE is a track day with an opportunity to work with an instructor and get experience in car handling and performance driving in your OWN CAR on a real race track!

The Porsche 944 is a sports car manufactured by German automobile manufacturer Porsche from 1982 to 1991. A front-engine, rear-wheel drive mid-level model based on the 924 platform, the 944 was available in coupé or cabriolet body styles, with either naturally aspirated or turbocharged engines.

The LS based small-block engine is the primary V-8 used in General Motors’ line of rear-wheel-drive cars and trucks. Introduced in January 1995, it is a “clean sheet” design with only rod bearings, lifters, and bore spacing in common with the longstanding Chevrolet small block V8 that preceded it as the basis for GM small-block V8s. The basic LS variations use cast iron blocks, while performance editions are all aluminum with cast iron cylinder liners. The LS small-block has been manufactured in three Generations – III, IV, and V – with preceding Generations I and II of modular GM small-block engines having been based on the Chevrolet small-block V8 originally designed in 1955. GM recycled the “LT” designation beginning with the LS Generation V “LT1” in 2014.

Porsche 944 LS Swap: 2023 STL SCCA PDE #6

Running on a bad fuel pump and two clogged injectors, PE-71RS tires, racing brake pads, M030 sway bars, Racers Edge solid-spherical suspension bushings, Boost Brothers control arms, and Lindsey Racing Intrax road racing coilovers; we rushed Gateway Motorsports Park for the STL SCCA PDE #6 event. The STL PDE crew were extremely helpful and organized. Ride along as we crackle down the main straight and burn through the corners!

Porsche 944 LS Swap: 2023 STL SCCA PDE #4

Running on new tires, brakes and sway bars, but still rocking the Gravel Rally coilovers, we stormed Gateway Motorsports Park for the STL SCCA PDE #4 event. The STL PDE crew were extremely friendly and well organized, and we were lucky enough to have Eric assigned as our instructor. Eric also drives a Porsche 944, so he was able to provide excellent instruction and allow us to push our car to the limits. Ride along as we fly down the main straight and hammer through the corners!
