Porsche 944 Rally V8: Rear Skid Plate – Part 1
The rear skid plate that we took to the Bristol Forest Rally took major damage, and unfortunately allowed the gas tank and transaxle to take several blows. Trash! However, to be fair, we designed, fabricated and installed the plate in only one day. In this video, we remove the cladding and support beam, inspect the 944’s rear end for damage, and discuss future plans for a brand new design that will be strong enough to survive the next Rally event. This series will focus on redesigning the rear skid plate. Stay tuned!
